Advantages of EnviQ Submerged UF Membranes

01 / 07
Stable Performance

Stable Performance

The patented frameless membrane design eliminates dead pockets where particles can accumulate, reducing the potential for biofouling.

Superior Durability

Superior Durability

The use of well-anchored and self-supporting PVDF flat sheet UF membrane enhances the ruggedness and durability of the system, ensuring long-lasting performance.

Lower Opex

Lower Opex

The fouling-resistant membranes and air diffuser design allow the system to operate at a consistent flux and transmembrane pressure, leading to lower power consumption and less frequent cleaning.

Enhanced Filtration Performance

Enhanced Filtration Performance

The ultrafiltration membranes provide consistently lower filtrate Silt Density Index (SDI), indicating a higher quality filtration process and improved water quality.

Smaller Footprint

Smaller Footprint

The membranes can manage larger flows while requiring less space, making them a space-efficient solution for applications with limited footprint availability.

Easy to Install & Maintain

Easy to Install & Maintain

The modular design with a simple rack structure and fewer cartridges and internal connections simplifies installation and makes maintenance easier.

High Solids Loading

High Solids Loading

The membranes can handle high solid loading, making them suitable for a variety of applications and contributes to competitive pricing by optimizing the process efficiency.

How do EnviQ Membranes Work?

How do EnviQ Membranes Work?

QUA’s EnviQ membranes are specially developed to improve the ease of operation and maintenance of MBR facilities. EnviQ's innovative patented design offers ultrafiltration quality product water with a stronger and more rugged PVDF flat sheet membrane.

EnviQ's unique features such as a frameless membrane design, reverse diffusion and specially designed air diffusers maximize scrubbing efficiency, resulting in reduced cleaning and ease of operation for wastewater treatment facilities.

Watch Now

EnviQ membranes have billions of microscopic pores on the surface that form a barrier to impurities, allowing clean water to pass. Water is drawn through the pores by using gentle suction. EnviQ provides more consistent and higher quality effluent using an advanced PVDF-reinforced membrane and proprietary diffuser system. The proprietary air diffuser design maintains a continuous flow of consistent/correct-sized air bubbles. This then prevents solids from settling at the tank bottom or sticking to the membrane surface and eliminating septic conditions.

In addition, EnviQ lowers the total installed cost of biological wastewater treatment and recycling systems compared to conventional activated sludge processes with tertiary filtration. EnviQ facilitates increased MBR adoption, resulting in more efficient biotreatment, a smaller footprint and high-quality effluent.

MBR combines conventional activated sludge technology with membrane filtration. MBR can be designed at a much higher MLSS concentration compared to conventional processes, giving the advantages of lower hydraulic retention time (HRT) and higher sludge retention time (SRT). This reduces the footprint of the overall wastewater treatment. In addition, MBR replaces the clarifier/sedimentation tank as well as media and membrane filtration. The treated water is highly superior and can be used directly or as feed to a reverse osmosis unit. EnviQ is available in modular construction. This ensures the ease of design as well as maintenance.
