Aquatech’s RecovOAR™ helps textile manufacturers to achieve zero liquid discharge (ZLD) more cost-effectively and reduces reliance on freshwater by enhancing on-site water reuse.

Membrane-based Brine Concentration Technology

Textile manufacturing processes produce challenging wastewater streams containing salts, dyes, surfactants, and organic compounds. Conventional thermal concentration technologies such as multi effect evaporators (MEE) are energy-intensive and drive up the operational cost of effective wastewater management.

Aquatech’s RecovOAR™ technology uses osmotically assisted reverse osmosis (RO) to deliver high levels of brine concentration, which eliminates or sharply reduces downstream thermal evaporation requirements. This pathbreaking technology does not require specialist training to operate, and transforms the economics of ZLD by reducing energy consumption and space requirements. RecovOAR™ also reduces the water footprint of an industrial facility by recovering high-purity water for reuse.
