Venkee Sharma and Daniel Bjorklund gather in Imperial Country, California, to celebrate the groundbreaking of CTR’s Stage 1 Lithium Hydroxide Facility. It was a proud moment for CTR, which has engaged Aquatech as its technology partner to deliver the engineering and process plants for converting the lithium chloride intermediate product to battery-grade lithium hydroxide.

On-site, we will utilize a high-purity lithium chloride ‘eluate’ recovered via Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) from CTR’s geothermal lithium brine resource. We’re excited to integrate advanced technologies into the production plant, including advanced membrane, evaporation, and crystallization technology to produce refined crystalline lithium hydroxide monohydrate product.
